We do not automatically insure furniture, belongings and decorations against fire, theft, vandalism or water damage such as burst pipes.

Therefore, we have arranged a home contents insurance scheme with Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Ltd to give you financial protection should these types of events happen.

South Tyneside Council previously had a company to manage Housing Services on its behalf - South Tyneside Homes. Housing Services were brought back under the management of the Council on 1 November 2024. Some documents may contain references to South Tyneside Homes.
